I’ve come to realize that Louis has the great ability to recognize the potential in you as an individual and as an entrepreneur. Then, he intuitively creates the relationships and the environment for you to flourish and achieve. Using his thorough knowledge of personality styles, he supports your efforts to specifically keep you moving forward in a positive direction. His motivational skills are truly uncanny, and his enthusiasm for you makes you feel like you can’t miss!!

The most significant thing I’ve learned from Louis is that reaching my potential as an individual and as an entrepreneur is not only possible but also doable. Louis taught me to step out of my “box” and learn to live in a new and bigger one; one that fit my capacity to lead and be the best “me” I can as opposed to being the “me” I thought I always had to be.

Louis’ support has been unconditional. He has helped me so much both personally and professionally; through more tough times than easy ones so the word unconditional is the best way to sum it up. Just like a parent would support a child. There has never been one single instance in my work with Louis, no matter how difficult or tumultuous, when I thought that he would not stand by me the entire time. Not coincidentally, there was never a time in those instances when I was not absolutely certain that we would get through it and be better off afterward. I am a better husband, a better friend, will be a better father, and am a better business leader because of Louis DeAngelo. He has made me a better man than I otherwise could have ever been.

Here are a few of the things Louis has helped me with:

Clarity is everything and the work he and I did here was critical in my life and in my business. Being clear about who you are, what you want, and where you’re going is the most important step in any personal or professional development. Once you are clear, the decision-making becomes very easy.

At some point you have to acknowledge when you are no longer the scrappy upstart, the underdog. And that is a good thing, as long as you no longer act like the underdog.

You must lead for followership. That is, you must lead as others need you to lead them in order for them to truly feel supported. You cannot lead everyone as you want to be led, it simply does not work.

Some times, you just have to slow down. Do fewer things and take more time to do them. Just be sure that they are the absolute most important things and be sure you do them well.

The strongest doubts and disbelief always set in just before you really achieve that which you had intended to achieve.

Talent will only get you so far in your personal and professional pursuits. At some point you’re going to need your family or your team to get behind you to achieve your goals.

Do what it is that they need you to do for them to support you and follow you so that you can get there.

Too much of anything good can quickly become detrimental.

Lack of accountability is often the price of loyalty.

It can truly be whatever it is you want it to be. We just have to design it that way.

Our beliefs, thoughts, and issues are simply a result of the stories we tell ourselves as a result of our life experiences.

We are always much closer than we think we are.

Finally, working with Louis has been one of those rare life experiences that words or explanation, no matter how poignantly written or spoken, simply can not do justice. It is something you must experience for yourself to understand. And when you do, you will be a much better person, personally and professionally, for having done so.

I feel that being an entrepreneur completely intertwines one’s personal and professional lives so I am answering both items together.  Louis’ work with me personally has been some of the most powerful support and advice that I have ever been given in my life.  The positive perspective that he has taught me to keep constant in my day to day routine, both personally and professionally, is something that I continue to use daily and is something that I will never stop using as it completely changed my perspective on and approach to things in a way I didn’t even think was possible.

Anyone reading this, and wondering if this is something you need, I’d say, “What are you waiting for?”  As commercial and biased as that may sound, it’s exactly how I feel about my work with him.  There is no monetary value that I could possibly place on the value of my relationship with Louis and our work together.  It has been amazing how much this work has impacted my personal life in my daily relationship with my wife and my 9 year old son.  Both have noticed a marked change in my relations with them and our lives are now positively changed, forever.  As if that progress alone weren’t enough, in my business I am now more clear, purposeful, and organized than I have ever been before.  I am clear on the results that I desire.  I have purposely planned and outlined certain specific behaviors to get me to those results that I desire and I will always be working an organized plan to get my business to achieve these results, on purpose.
